For heartburn, pain after eating, bloating, unstable stool, nausea, reduced appetite, a bitter taste in the mouth, anemia, weight loss, or the appearance of blood or mucus in the stool.

No. Endoscopy is performed only when indicated, in case of suspected erosions, ulcers, polyps, tumors, or with long-lasting symptoms without improvement.

How to prepare for gastroscopy?

6–8 hours without food and 2–3 hours without water. Do not smoke, chew gum, or drink coffee and juices. Vital medications may be taken with a minimal amount of water.

How to prepare for colonoscopy?

2–3 days before — a low-residue diet; the day before — a macrogol solution; on the day of the examination — only clear liquids. The plan is selected by the doctor.

In depth

Gastroenterologist in Tashkent: GI disease diagnosis and treatment

Gastroenterology in Tashkent is a branch of medicine that studies diseases of the digestive organs: the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. At Horev Medical Center the gastroenterology field is built on the principles of evidence-based medicine, with an emphasis on finding the root cause rather than symptomatic treatment.

Bloating, heartburn, pain after eating and unstable stool are often perceived as normal, but they can indicate chronic processes. An early consultation with a specialist makes it possible to detect changes before complications develop.

Endoscopy and colonoscopy in Tashkent

Endoscopic methods make it possible to visually assess the condition of the GI mucosa. The clinic offers:

  • gastroscopy (FGDS) with and without sedation;
  • diagnostic colonoscopy under sedation;
  • biopsy when mucosal changes are detected;
  • an H.pylori test as part of the examination;
  • ultrasound of the abdominal organs as indicated.

SIBO, dysbiosis and irritable bowel syndrome

Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and dysbiosis increasingly become the cause of chronic GI complaints. The gastroenterologist performs a comprehensive assessment and prescribes targeted therapy and dietary recommendations without excessive use of antibiotics and probiotics.

Abdominal surgery at Horev Medical

When conservative treatment is not enough, the clinic's abdominal surgeon performs laparoscopic operations: cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, fundoplication. Patient management is joint: a gastroenterologist at the diagnostic stage, a surgeon at the surgical stage, and an inpatient unit for recovery.

How much does a gastroenterologist appointment cost in Tashkent

The cost of a consultation depends on the scope of the examination and the format of the visit. The clinic works transparently: the patient is informed in advance about the cost of each procedure, with no hidden charges.
