Pelvic floor reconstruction with a biocompatible mesh implant — returning organs to their natural position.
Complete uterine prolapse is a severe condition in which the pelvic organs descend and may extend beyond the vagina. At Horev Medical Center reconstructive operations with mesh implant placement are performed, allowing the natural position of the uterus and quality of life to be restored.
| Prolapse stage | Symptoms | Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Stage I | Uterine descent without extending beyond the vagina | Observation, exercises, physiotherapy |
| Stage II | The cervix at the level of the vaginal opening | Elective surgery in case of pronounced symptoms |
| Stage III | Partial prolapse of the uterine body | Surgical treatment with ligament reinforcement and mesh |
| Stage IV | Complete prolapse of the uterus beyond the vagina | Surgery with placement of a biocompatible mesh implant |
The surgeon performs pelvic floor repair and places a soft biocompatible mesh that fixes the organs in the correct position. The duration is about 1.5–2 hours under general anesthesia. Postoperative monitoring takes place in the Horev Medical Center inpatient unit, with condition control and care by medical staff.
