Olive oil may work better than Viagra

University of Athens: 9 tablespoons of olive oil per week reduce the risk of erectile dysfunction by up to 40% and raise testosterone.

A University of Athens study involving more than 600 men showed that volunteers who consumed a lot of olive oil had fewer problems in their intimate life. The point is that the oil supports vascular health in all parts of the body.

It was found that men who consumed at least 9 tablespoons of oil per week experienced impotence much less frequently and had higher testosterone levels compared to those who consumed oil in smaller doses. Overall, the Mediterranean diet (fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish, nuts and, of course, olive oil) reduced the risk of erectile dysfunction by up to 40%.

It had previously been established that people who follow the Mediterranean diet have testosterone levels about 40% higher. A diet rich in olive oil protects against visceral obesity (which in itself lowers sex hormone levels), supports vascular health, and reduces the risk of diabetes, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome.

Olive oil exerts a certain influence on the dilation of the aorta, thereby helping to maintain normal blood flow. And as is known, nearly 80% of erectile dysfunction is caused by cardiovascular problems.
