Elastography complements standard ultrasound and mammography: soft lesions (cysts, most fibroadenomas) show low stiffness, while dense solid foci show higher stiffness. The doctor compares the elasticity map, the Doppler picture, and BI-RADS criteria to suggest a balanced approach.

The report indicates the elastographic signs of benignity / suspicion and recommendations (monitoring, targeted biopsy, consultation with a mammologist).
The method does not replace histology: in case of ambiguous findings, a biopsy may be required.
