Ultrasound at Horev Medical

Subsections

Types of ultrasound, Doppler and elastography

Open the section you are interested in.

Doppler ultrasound of the upper limb arteries

Ultrasound Doppler of the arm vessels helps detect stenosis, occlusion, spasm, atherosclerotic plaques and blood flow impairment.

Doppler ultrasound during pregnancy + 4D fetal ultrasound

The package includes Doppler of the umbilical cord, uterine and fetal cerebral arteries plus 4D imaging, helping assess placental blood flow and the risk of hypoxia.

Doppler ultrasound of the brachiocephalic vessels (BCA)

Atherosclerosis screening, assessment of stenosis, turbulence and blood flow asymmetry in the arteries supplying the brain.

Doppler ultrasound of the abdominal and liver vessels

Assessment of blood flow in the portal vein, hepatic veins and arteries, detection of portal hypertension, thrombosis and congestion.

Soft tissue sonoelastography (strain)

Strain elastography with Doppler shows the stiffness and blood flow of a subcutaneous lesion — it helps distinguish an inflammatory infiltrate from a cyst, lipoma, or vascular malformation.

Breast sonoelastography (strain)

Elastography complements standard ultrasound and mammography: it assesses the stiffness of breast lesions and helps distinguish cysts and fibroadenomas from dense solid foci.

Thyroid sonoelastography (strain)

Strain elastography assesses the stiffness of thyroid nodules and, together with Doppler and TI-RADS signs, clarifies the risk — it helps choose the approach: monitoring or puncture.

Liver sonoelastography (shear-wave, SWE)

SWE elastography is the gold standard for the non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis. The device measures parenchymal stiffness in kPa/m/s — suitable for monitoring hepatitis, NAFLD, and after therapy.

Transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD)

Diagnosis of blood flow in the intracranial arteries: detection of spasm, stenosis and collateral circulation.

Doppler ultrasound of the lower limb veins

We detect reflux and the patency of deep and superficial veins, rule out thrombosis and assess valvular insufficiency.

Doppler ultrasound of the upper limb veins

We assess vein patency, rule out thrombosis and evaluate valve function and venous outflow.

Echocardiography (Echo) with Doppler

Allows assessment of the valve apparatus, ejection fraction, diastolic function, pulmonary artery pressure and intracardiac flows.

Functional penile Doppler ultrasound

Penile vascular Doppler — arterial and venous flow assessment for erectile dysfunction.

Studyfrom 300,000 UZS

Pregnancy ultrasound 11–40 weeks

II–III trimester screening: fetal growth, anatomy, and placenta condition under expert physician supervision.

Pregnancy ultrasound up to 11 weeks

The first pregnancy ultrasound — to confirm the heartbeat and ensure the development is progressing correctly.

Abdominal ultrasound

Liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen — in one visit, with immediate interpretation.

Pelvic ultrasound

Pelvic ultrasound is an important and informative procedure to evaluate the condition of the female reproductive system. The examination helps detect inflammation, cysts, fibroids, cycle disorders and other pathologies. At Horev Medical Center the procedure is performed in a comfortable environment and is painless.

Scrotal ultrasound

Complete ultrasound of testes, epididymis and scrotal vessels — painless structural and flow assessment.

Studyfrom 215,000 UZS

Kidney and urinary tract ultrasound

Ultrasound of kidneys, ureters and bladder — structural and functional assessment of the urinary tract.

Studyfrom 155,000 UZS

Cardiac ultrasound (Echocardiography)

Assessment of heart function, valves and ejection fraction on expert-class equipment.

Thyroid ultrasound

Detection of nodes, cysts and structural changes of the thyroid gland — safe and precise.

FAQ

FAQ — about ultrasound

Answers to the questions patients ask most.

It depends on the study. Before abdominal US — 6–8 hours fasting; before pelvic US — fill the bladder. Most other studies need no preparation.

Is ultrasound safe?

Yes. Ultrasound does not use ionising radiation and is safe for adults, children and pregnant women.

How long does the exam take?

On average 10–30 minutes, depending on the area and scope.

Can I get ultrasound often?

Yes. Follow-up scans can be done as often as needed without harm.
